From a history of over 30 years as a mission support charity, we have existing links with many Wycliffe organisations, Bible Societies and others and are looking to further develop these, as well as establish a significant number of new partnerships during the next five years. Please consider volunteering with us to help manage one of our services, partnerships or projects, or more than one, depending on your experience and availability.
Examples of current opportunities for volunteers:
Partnership Manager – Bring your experience of client management and contracts, plus an interest in resourcing world mission.
Project Manager – Our Introduction to EasyEnglish is currently available in 13 languages. We would like to widen that, including different scripts, some right-to-left, aiming for the top 100 languages. Could you make that happen?
Small Projects Deputy Coordinator – Learn about MissionAssist’s small project grants administration to provide holiday cover etc. for the current Coordinator and transition to take on the role of Coordinator in due course.
Head of Service Development – Oversee the planning and development of new services, and support the growth of existing services, in collaboration with the Director of Services and Director of Partnerships.
Director of Partnerships is a key role to lead the strategy and priorities for linking MissionAssist with other organisations; provide assistance to the CEO and contribute to the leadership of the charity.
Key Tasks, depending on the role
- Manage one (or more) project, service or partnership, depending on experience and skills.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the mission, values and work of MissionAssist.
- Achieve your goals in collaboration with a range of other part-time volunteers across the charity.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in project or partnership management.
- Ability to work independently, with good judgement, in a virtual organisation.
- Aptitude to represent MissionAssist professionally, with good communication skills.
- Experience of managing and motivating others to achieve agreed goals (for Director of Partnerships).
