MissionAssist has a number of opportunities for people with skills and experience in marketing and communications. We invite you to take a look at the charity’s branding, online presence and reputation then let us know how you could contribute to our marketing team and their activities.
Current opportunities include:
Communications Assistant – Ideally, bring knowledge of Christian publications and outlets, and/or journalism experience.
Copy Writer – Apply your writing skills to prepare articles for print or online, to promote our services, volunteering opportunities, partnerships and membership.
Events Administrator – Make all the arrangements for our exhibition stands, such as at the Keswick Convention in England.
Church Engagement – Contact churches and offer information, publicity they could share or a speaker to give a presentation, to raise awareness of MissionAssist.
Mission Organisation Engagement – Research and contact mission agencies to offer information about relevant MissionAssist services and volunteering opportunities, in collaboration with the partnerships team.
Enquiries Team – Respond to enquiries, from “Where can I get the EasyEnglish Bible?” to “Are you looking for new trustees?” usually via email.
Head of Digital Media – Oversee and develop the online presence of MissionAssist.
Head of Marketing is a key role to ensure MissionAssist is well known and well respected across the world; provide assistance to the CEO and contribute to the leadership of the charity.
Key Tasks, depending on the role:
- Produce press releases, display materials and other publications.
- Maintain the charity’s brand, promoting and extending awareness of the work of MissionAssist.
- Manage the digital profile of MissionAssist.
- Liaise with radio and television channels, magazines and other outlets.
- Liaise with other organisations, including churches, mission agencies and event organisers.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns or events.
- Manage the marketing and publicity strategy and budget (for Head of Marketing).
Requirements, depending on the role:
- Enthusiasm for the effectiveness of good communications and marketing.
- Evidence of an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, with good judgement, in a virtual organisation.
- Professional experience in corporate communications/marketing.
- Experience with developing a digital strategy for a similar organisation – desirable.
- Experience of managing and motivating others to achieve agreed goals (for Head of Marketing).
