A typical Bible Digitisation Project in our WEBBS team starts with images of printed pages. File conversion is a crucial stage for each project. Only once the original, raw photo image files have been processed into pdf files can the keyboarders start their typing up, character by character, page by page.
Qualifications: Expertise in post processing image files.

Until the global coronavirus pandemic, a team of MissionAssist volunteers regularly travelled to the Bible Society library to scan rare and fragile scriptures, located within the University Library in Cambridge UK. We are very grateful to have found alternative sources of images for now, including commercially produced scans paid for by a generous grant. If we can return to the University Library in the future, we will invite members living in the Cambridge area to reform the scanning team.
Qualifications: Live in easy reach of Cambridge, UK. Availability to dedicate one or two working days to a task at a time.
