Do you enjoy using software to achieve great design and layouts? Do you have attention to detail and a willingness to work as part of a remote team?
We appreciate volunteers who are experienced in the use of computer aided graphics and desktop publishing. The software packages we use include Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word. If you are familiar with or willing to learn to use Bloom we would also like to hear from you.
Qualifications: Competence with relevant software tools. Attention to detail.

Do you have a qualification in English language? Would you be willing to offer your experience in editing English language documents?
Many people find it a challenge to write documents in English, particularly if it is not their first language. We have a team of people who have a good grasp of English grammar, and the ability to express ideas clearly and fluently, to support our English Language Editing service.
Qualifications: Confidence in British English and the Review facilities in Microsoft Word.

Can you write on someone else’s behalf? Starting from, for example, an interview or diaries, could you produce a manuscript that meets a client’s approval?
In addition to requests for our regular services, we also receive other enquiries. We love to be able to match a volunteer to each task, whenever possible.
Therefore, we maintain a list of willing volunteers and their skills, whom we can approach, although that may not be very often. Ghost writing is an example of where we have been able to match volunteers to special requests.
Qualifications: Writing on behalf of, or in collaboration with, someone else.

Do you enjoy researching to find facts and information on a range of topics? Do you have access to a library or particular expertise in searching the internet?
Our research service was established at a time when access to a library or book shops or places that sold that particular spare part for your vital equipment was impossible for many people who were living a long way from home. Even though modern technology has enabled many to become self-sufficient, we continue to offer research assistants.
Qualifications: Access to an academic library or expertise in internet search.
